There will be 32 men and women who will compete to win new trophies for the first Grand Slam tournament to be held in Melbourne.
Last year's men's winner, Carlos Alcaraz, will not be present this year, thus leaving the number 1 seed in the tournament to his compatriot Rafael Nadal.
Rafael Nadal will be the men's champion in the competition and this will be his record tenth title in Melbourne.
Women's champion Iga Swiatek leads but could face Ons Jabeur, who has reached 2 Grand Slam finals in 2022.
